AFTERCARE
Option 1
Second Skin, Saniderm, Tegaderm,
Keep the bandage on for 3-5 days. Take it off early only if it leaks, fills with too much fluid, or irritates your skin.
If you remove it early: You can apply a new bandage or switch to regular aftercare. If the bandage causes a rash or itching, don’t use another one.
Take it off carefully. Remove it under warm running water to loosen the adhesive.
Wash the tattoo right after removing the bandage. Use fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel (not a cloth towel).
Wash the tattoo twice a day—morning and night—to keep it clean.
Do not use lotion for 24 hours. Let your skin breathe.
After 24 hours, use a very small amount of fragrance-free lotion—just enough to keep it from getting too dry. Apply once or twice a day.
Important: If irritation, redness, or rash occurs, remove the bandage and switch to standard care. Seek medical attention immediately for severe reactions like intense swelling, blistering, or infection.
Option 2
Non-Adherent Bandage or Plastic Wrap
Keep the bandage on for 2-4 hours. After that, take it off and wash the tattoo.
If needed, reapply a new, clean bandage. Do this only if you need protection (like for sleeping). Do not reuse the same plastic wrap.

Do not use lotion for 24 hours. Let your tattoo breathe.
After 24 hours, apply a very small amount of fragrance-free lotion once or twice a day. Don't overdo it—your tattoo should not look shiny or greasy.

DO’S AND DON’TS
DON’T scratch or pick at your tattoo.
let scabs and flakes shed naturally to avoid scarring or patchy healing.
DO avoid sun exposure.
keep the tattoo covered and out of direct sunlight. After healing, always use sunscreen to prevent fading.
DON’T over use lotion.
Less is best! When applying lotion be sparing and keep it thin. Let your tattoo breathe.
DO keep it clean
the best thing you can do for a tattoo is leave it be and keep it clean.
DO avoid swimming and soaking.
No baths, swimming, hot tubs, or prolonged water exposure until fully healed (2-4 weeks). Showers are fine.
DON’T wear tight-fitting clothing.
wear loose, breathable clothing to prevent irritation and rubbing.
DO practice caution while exercising.
avoid intense workouts that cause heavy sweating in the tattooed area.
DO use sunscreen.
After your tattoo is completely healed or after one month, practice using sunscreen on your tattoo to protect it from sun damage.
